Children perform better when parents are involved in their child’s education. Where best to make a difference than with Ubobo State School’s P&C!

Our Executive Committee

President:  Kelvin Peters

Treasurer:  Sarah Manttan

Secretary:  Skyann Peters

Why join our P&C?

To make a positive difference in your child’s learning, and to give your child more…more opportunities, more technology, more resources, more enjoyment.

What does our P&C do?

The P&C is about people – parents, care givers and community minded people, who want to help the school. We work very closely with the school, building a stronger school community, where all children benefit. Our focus is the children.

The functions of the P&C are:

  • To foster generally, community interest in educational matters;
  • To encourage closer cooperation between the parents, members of the community, the staff and students of the school;
  • To provide advice and recommendations to the Principal on issues and concerns in respect to the student body and the general operations and management of the school;
  • To provide or assist in the provision of financial or other resources and services for the benefit of students of the school;
  • To participate in any committee or other body comprising members of the school and wider community which will contribute to the general benefit of students attending the school.

How can you help?

P&Cs work best with a diverse group of parents. We all have skills and expertise, and it’s together that change can be made and opportunities realised.

There are a number of ways to be involved:

  • Join the P&C to add your voice to what’s happening in the school
  • Attend P&C meetings
  • Become a tuckshop volunteer
  • Be a classroom helper
  • Fundraise – can you write grants, coordinate initiatives, assist in any way?

When does P&C meet?

The P&C hold monthly meetings on Tuesdays at 3.00pm in the classroom. Come along once or be a regular – you’ll always be welcomed.
