UBOBO STATE SCHOOL
Ubobo State School in the Central Coast District offers a co-educational program from preparatory grade to Year 7. It is a one teacher school with 22students enrolled. It opened on the 23rd March, 1927, with Miss HM Gough as Head Teacher. Heavy rains in 1928 forced the school community to request that the school be moved from its swampy setting. The new school was built on higher ground and opened in 1932 and still operates in that building today.
We focus on providing an intellectually challenging and relevant curriculum to all while caring for each child as an individual. The school offers a wide variety of extra-curricula activities to students and is a focal point of the community.
Ubobo is one of four small townships in the Boyne Valley and is situated 80klms south west of Gladstone. The town nestles between the Boyne River and the road that runs from Gladstone to Monto. The school joins with Builyan and Nagoorin to form the Boyne Valley Cluster.
